Walk Off Parkinson’s is this coming Sunday morning at National’s Park! Our team, Fair Oaks Folks, is 17 strong and the team has raised $1011 of a $1200 team goal. We’re doing great.
I invite anyone who’d like to participate in this exciting fund-raising/awareness-raising event to join Fair Oaks Folks to walk off PD, attend a demonstration workshop, or just sit and enjoy all the goings on.
Parking at Nat’s Stadium is free for the event, and I believe there’s a metro stop at the Navy Yard a few blocks away.
If you can’t join us on Sunday the 14th, please consider making a donation to the team – click here for more information. This walk provides much needed funds for the programs offered by PFNCA (Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area) for people whose lives are impacted by PD.
I’ll have green Fair Oaks Folks buttons for team members (and I have plenty extra, so bring along friends and family). Doors open at 8:30 am. I should be there by 9:00.
See you there,
Sandy
