December Events

Warm greetings to everyone. Here are a couple of important announcements.

3rd Wednesday Lunch Gathering, December 17

Everyone is welcome to join the lunch gathering on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
The next one will be on December 17th at 11:30 a.m. at
The Silver Diner
12251 Fair Lakes Parkway, Fairfax, VA 22033
on the corner of Fair Lakes Parkway and West Ox Road
Ask the hostess to direct you to the Fair Oaks group. Our tables are on the left side near the back. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy excellent company and lively conversation along with good food. These lunch gatherings are replacing the 1st and 3rd Wednesday drop-in dinners since people don’t want to drive when its dark.

December Saturday Morning Support Group Meeting Canceled

Due to holiday commitments, people at the November meeting elected to cancel the December meeting. We hope to see you at our first meeting of 2015, Saturday, January 24th!

To Add to Resource List

At our November meeting, a group member shared a resource manual, Every Victory Counts.
It’s described on the Davis Phinney Foundation website as:

“The Every Victory Counts manual is a photography-rich, interactive manual developed by the Davis Phinney Foundation in collaboration with co-authors Dr. Monique Giroux and Sierra Farris, experts in Parkinson’s treatment and self-care. It features contributions from leading movement disorder experts from respected institutions across the country. More than 50 people with Parkinson’s share their personal insights and experiences, lending authenticity and a welcome sense of humor.”

This is FYI and doesn’t represent an endorsement.

Wishing everyone Happy Holidays. Be safe, warm and well,
