February Meeting News

 Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. at Sunrise at Fair Oaks

The speakers will be Barry Wickersham from Shepherd’s Center of Fairfax-Burke and Jim Mueller, Shepherd’s Center of Western Fairfax County.  Barry will provide a broad perspective on Shepherd Centers and details about the services and programs offered by the Fairfax-Burke center.  Jim will speak about services that will be coming available to residents of western Fairfax County.

No March Meeting due to Symposium

The annual Symposium will be held on March 28th, the day of our March meeting.  Most of the attendees at the last support group meeting are planning to go to the Symposium, so the March meeting was cancelled, unless there are a few people who’d like to get together at the usual time and place. Free Movement Class on March 1

Mark Morris Dance Group and George Mason University’s Center for the Arts present a free class for persons with Parkinson’s. their families, friends and care partners on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Building of George Mason’s Fairfax Campus, 4400 University Drive in Fairfax 22030.

Reminder: Third Wednesday lunch get together at Silver Diner in Fairfax at 11:30 will be on February 18th.  Drop in if you can.  All are welcome.
