April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month!
In recognition of April as Parkinson’s Awareness Month several local Parkinson support groups will be sharing information about Parkinson’s to increase the understanding of the needs of someone living with Parkinson’s. This is a joint effort of the Parkinson Social Network, the Fair Oaks Parkinson’s support group and the Women with Parkinson’s Disease support group.
We’ll be at Inova’s Fair Oaks hospital from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on the following days:
Monday, April 3 Friday, April 7
Monday, April 24 Friday, April 28
We would really love your help – people living with Parkinson’s, their families and friends – to help us on one of these days, even if it’s only for an hour, to hand out printed material and chat with staff and the visitors.
If you’d like to help, please contact Sonia Gow at Sonia@PatientsArePeopleToo.com or at (703) 378-7221.
